The MythBusters, Jamie and Adam, two special effects experts with over 30 years experience between them, set out to methodically bust three urban legends in each episode. They will apply modern day science with age-old legends and modern-day myths to prove or disprove what is real and what is truly urban legend. They don't just tell the myths, they'll put them to the test. CHINESE INVASION ALARM- In this myth, the MB are actually taking a pot shot at an ancient Chinese text that alludes to a subterranean sonar system that could apparently detect and intercept an invasion from below. The build team set about making authentic drums from pottery jars, during which Kari gets to shave her very first goat! Then its off to a nineteenth century hand-hewn Californian mine to test out this military myth. In line with Mythbusters tradition, Adam and Jamie take opposing sides.
